Used Upright Pianos

We have nearly 70 used upright pianos ranging in height from 42″ to 52″ and in price from $1,900 to $6,990. Our selection of upright pianos includes console pianos (42″ to 44″), studio pianos (45″ to 48″), and professional upright pianos ( 48″ to 52″). Choose from brands like Kawai, Yamaha, Steinway, Baldwin, Young Chang, and others.

Upright pianos differ from grand pianos in one key way: the hammer-on-string action is vertical rather than horizontal, so each stroke works against gravity. Grand pianos offer more sonorous sound and consistent tone than uprights, but upright pianos are more affordable, take up less space and still provide high-quality sound, especially the taller ones. The taller the upright piano, the longer the strings and the better the tonal quality, particularly from the lower bass and tenor sections. Unless you’re a professional pianist, you should enjoy the sound of even a shorter console piano, but if you’re looking for the best sound quality in a vertical piano, choose a studio or professional upright piano.
